
Colorado State University junior is a Journalism and Media Communication Major with a Music Business Minor. Kaileen serves as the vice president of the Music Business Collective (MBC), a student-led nonprofit organization. The MBC provides CSU students with real-world opportunities in the music industry through live music production, music marketing, music finance, and music networking/career development. Kaileen has been involved with the MBC for three years. She spent her first two years as the Live Events chair, and was elected as vice president in April. She has also expanded the MBC’s and her professional collaborations to other local venues such as the Aggie Theater and The Coast, as well as the local organization the Fort Collins Musicians Association, who host the largest music festival in Colorado, FoCoMX. Her journalism experience includes work in the MBC newsletter beginning this semester. She has also assisted with production of the local music podcast “Speak B4 i Think” Originally raised in Summit County, Colorado, Kaileen is also an avid outdoorsman. She spends most of her free time skiing in the winter and camping, hiking, and climbing in the summer. She also enjoys playing music and has been playing the bass guitar for 4 years.
