Beloved local Fort Collins alternative hardcore band Clementine spent the weekend of Sept. 12- 14 recording a new EP at The Blasting Room Studios. “There has always been change between each different project we've had,” Caleb Crowe said. “This one (L4L) is the most representative of the direction we are setting ourselves up for.” Produced by Blasting Room Producer, Miles Stevenson, the EP, tentatively titled “L4L” will be approximately 10 minutes long, and will feature three songs.
“It really builds upon what we have come to establish ourselves as artists,” Keiran Wisell said.
Clementine had begun writing for the “L4L” EP before the release of their past album, “Make Me a Machine” in July of 2024. “We had an idea for a song, and we put it on the shelf, saying maybe we were not ready for that quite yet” Wisell said.
“ We just couldn't get the ‘it factor' written for it,” Crowe added.

However since then, Clementine has changed their song, Sparkle Shine, to have an entirely different vibe.
“It cranks it up a notch. It is a lot faster and a lot heavier than what we have done before,” Wisell said. Clementine has already played all the songs listed on the EP at live concerts.

Clementine is not new to the Fort Collins music scene. Originating in 2021, the five-piece band has released two EP’s: The Basement and N.O.B.A., and one full length album, Make Me a Machine. They specialize in post-rock and alternative hardcore music. They have also played over 100 live shows, with notable events including FoCoMX, Soupstock DIY Festival, and headlining at the Aggie Theater in Feb 2025.
Clementine does not yet have a release date for the L4L EP. Updates can be found on their Instagram: @clementinefc.band.
