Robert Sides

Robert Sides is your correspondent for the Ramspondents Project. He is also a second-year student at CSU, where he studies Journalism and Media Communication. On top of being a Ramspondent, he also reports for the Rocky Mountain Collegian, CTV Channel 11, and KCSU 90.5, all of which are under Rocky Mountain Student Media, the student media agency of CSU. Robert is from Fountain, Colorado. His passion for the craft of journalism started there in Fountain. Working for the student broadcast news team in high school, his interest for the profession grew over the three years he spent there. When Robert is not reporting, he can be seen reading both fiction and nonfiction alike. He also enjoys spending time outside, whether it be walking or just lying in the grass. In the journalism sphere, Robert enjoys writing about community events, life and culture, and feature pieces; he considers himself to be better in feature writing than in hard news or opinion writing. Even though he often reports in print, he prefers writing for broadcast, especially television. Adding into his journalism tenure, Robert also currently serves as the treasurer of Colorado State University’s student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
