Traffic will be detoured on Shields Street in the southbound direction between Mountain Avenue and Akin Avenue. If you use this route, be prepared to detour at Laporte Avenue starting on Monday, Oct. 20.

The road will be closed due to utility work related to the Oak Street Stormwater Improvement Project. The closure will take place over seven weeks from Oct. 20 through Dec. 10.

As southbound traffic is redirected at Laporte Avenue it will continue into either College Avenue or Taft Hill Road. Northbound traffic will remain open during the closure.
